Our site http://chronic-prostatitis.org/">Chronic prostatitis is about UTI. Urinary tract infection, is an infection that can happen anywhere in the urinary tract. The urinary tract includes urethra, ureters, bladder, kidneys. UTI has different influence on different people. Women tend to get them more often because their urethra is smaller and closer to the anus. Persons that have diabetes and very old adults (especially those in nursing homes) are more likely to develop UTIs. The older are at more risk for such infections because the bladder doesn't become hollow till the end due to certain bladder and prostate conditions.
The primary symptoms of infection include general ill impression, cloudy urine, tiredness, low fever, warm or flushed skin, painful coitus.
It can be possible that urinary tract infection may vanish on its own without treatment. Still, doctors usually recommend antibiotics because kidneys can suffer from infection as well. Antibiotics are taken by mouth, commonly for a week or less days. It is important that you finish all the medication. If you are very sick and cannot drink enough fluids or take medicines by mouth, you may be admitted to the hospital. There you'll experience fluids and antibiotics through a vein.
There is a real controversy about prostatitis among urologists and professionals curing this disease. There are 3 vital thoughts outlined below:
1) Prostatitis is a certain condition caused by pelvic muscles chronic squeezing that, after a while, becomes a cause of a self perpetuating and chronic discomfort of the pelvic floor contents, including irritation of the nerves and other delicate structures involved in laxation, interjection, urination.
2) A bacteria or unknown microorganism cause prostatitis in the prostate gland.
3) Prostatitis is an autoimmune disease.
Most of urologists tend to propound the 2nd and third views. Because of this, their treatments tend to offer antibiotics or pain medications. Sometimes urologists will tell their patients that there may exist a microbe that is the reason for the problem that still hasn't been identified.
I hope this information is useful to many patients who have prostatitis and offers the hope in its treatment.
